THE CURE With the new album Bloodflowers, the Cure continues to dose the pop-loving public with its unique brand of alternative medicine. The disc, which marks the band’s 20-year anniversary, completes a musical trilogy that began with 1982’s Pornography and continued with the release in 1989 of Disintegration. Hailed by critics as “vintage Cure,” the new CD is a welcome return to the band’s characteristic combination of peculiar imagery and sparsely angular melodies. A mini-tour was launched in mid-February and our crew caught up with Robert Smith & Co. during a gig in Dallas, Tex. “Out Of This World” written by R. Smith, S. Gallup, R. O'Donnell, P. Bamonte, J.
